Earth day

To celebrate this Earth Day on 22 April, we encourage all colleagues to dedicate time to invest in our planet. As we did last year, ASSA ABLOY in return commits to planting a tree for every contribution received.

To contribute, you can act on your own or join forces with your colleagues.

Here are a few ideas:

Try driving less. Inspire your colleagues to take up green habits.

Dedicate part of your day to growing something in your garden.

Eliminate all single-use plastic on site.

Organize a clean-up event at a local park or a beach.

Install a beehive.

Recycle mobile phones and laptops.

Have a meatless day to reduce your carbon footprint.

Practice sustainable fashion. Donate your old clothes and home goods to a charity shop.

Buy local foods to help reduce transportation emissions.

Recycle packaging.

Take shorter showers.

Unplug your television.

You can also create a 1 year long pledge, individually or together with your team, focused on environmental action and sustainable lifestyles.

So, are you ready to help us beat last year’s result of 250 trees?

Take a photo or a short video (maximum 10 seconds) of your activity/event.

Upload your photo or video to Earth Day 2023 submissions folder no later than 26 April 2023.

For each contribution in form of a photo or video, ASSA ABLOY will in return plant a tree. The number of contributions will equal the number of trees we plant.

Also, feel free to share your ideas in the comments field. Perhaps you can inspire someone to also take action.
