As our Director of Product Marketing, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and inspire a geographically dispersed team including both direct and indirect reports. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that drives towards business goals
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including product management, product marketing, sales, technical services and legal, to ensure seamless execution of initiatives. Provide leadership & guidance to teams working on related projects
- Sales Enablement: Work closely with marketing and product teams to shape sales collateral, presentations, and materials that effectively communicate the value proposition across diverse markets
- Conduct market research: Identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape; use insights to inform product positioning and messaging
- Strategy Development Intersection: Provide strategic leadership in competitive analysis, market trends, and product performance to guide decision-making and drive growth
- Industry Engagement: Maintain industry knowledge through workshops, publications, participating in relevant professional societies & support technical subject matter experts who speak at industry events. In some cases, be the subject matter expert speaking or hosting panel conversations as well
- Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry influencers. Gather and incorporate customer feedback to refine product positioning and marketing strategies. Part of this role also includes creating customer case studies and testimonials documentation which can later on be shared and promoted to external audiences but also to educate our internal audiences on where we excel and where we can be better
- Launch External Offerings: Lead the launch of product, solution and integration with external platform in collaboration with product management, our partners, sales, marketing and PR teams to ensure successful execution
- Create Customer Segmentation Strategies: Establish and understand customer profiles to guide the creation of targeted marketing and overall external communication plans ensuring that we keep our pulse on the market and successfully address key business needs addressing the targeted stakeholders
- Business Value Stream Leadership: Drive thoughtful and well-constructed assessment of “where-to-play” vertical/segments; work with leadership to align organization around strategic choices. Work with leadership to ensure organization investments are prioritized to enable targeted growth
- Communications: Ensure alignment and cohesive messaging across cross-functional teams, including Corporate Communication, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales
Your Experience and Background include:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing or equivalent relevant experience will be considered
- 10 years of experience in solution/product marketing or relevant adjacent roles
- Minimum of five years of experience working closely with IT, technology development, financial services/banking, security or identity management software solutions
- Experience in doing market research and copy writing represents a strong advantage
- Proven track record of successful product and/or solution launches and promotional campaign development
- A proven track record of achievements and demonstrated career stability
- Good inter-personal and communication skills in both spoken and written English. The ability to also communicate in German, French or Spanish would provide the candidate with a strong advantage
