About The Role:
 

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be working on the server side of the Level app that enables all of our users to interact with our consumer and multifamily products.
You will work closely with world-class front-end designers and top-tier firmware engineers to ensure a beautiful and responsive experience for our customers.
 

Responsibilities:
 

• Contribute to all technical aspects of backend development, including technical requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing and integration

• Collaborate with the frontend and infrastructure engineers for successful implementation of product features

• Collaborate with the product and design teams on product alignment and deliverables

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

Required Qualifications:
 

• 5+ years of industry experience in backend development and developing large-scale data driven applications

• Expertise in FastAPI or other Python backend frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django)

• Experience with Relational Databases and NoSQL Databases like Cassandra or MongoDB

• Experience building REST APIs using Django Rest Framework or similar

• Experience with CI/CD and system monitoring tools like Datadog

• Good understanding of containers, build systems, and infrastructure automation

• Experience using Gitlab

• Bachelor's or higher Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

At ASSA ABLOY, we believe our greatest asset is our people, and we strive for competitive compensation plans to attract the best talent. The salary range for this position is $110k-$260k + bonus. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate of what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we take into consideration a broad scope of factors, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off.
