Mobile Android Developer

The Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) business segment within the EMEIA Division is looking for an Android Developer to join the Electronic Access Control (EAC) product unit.

What you would do as our Mobile Android Developer 

As an Android Developer you will develop mobile applications for our different Electronic Access Control systems. You would develop applications for configuration and operations of our wireless locks and systems. You will join a cross functional agile software team with mobile and cloud developers, QAs and a UX designer. You will work closely with our firmware team regarding communication with the devices. On top of this you will cooperate with product management on the app requirements.

 

You would also:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:

  • At least three years' experience of mobile Android app development, preferably with Kotlin.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with cloud services.
  • Experience with Jetpack Compose and good understanding of Android release cycle.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
     

Ideally, you have experience working with several of the following: developing mobile applications for connected IoT devices, BLE communication, APIs for offline storage, threading and performance tuning, and security technologies such as TLS, MFA, OAuth, and PKI. Experience with cross-platform languages such as React Native (Expo), Kotlin Multi-Platform, or Flutter is nice to have but not a requirement. Additionally, familiarity with the SAFe agile methodology is beneficial.
