International Women's Day is celebrated in our office

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

We are extremely proud of our diverse workforce and recognise that the diversity within our teams enables us to be the successful organisation we are today.

We, here at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Middle East, celebrated the day with much enthusiasm. On behalf of the Management, Ms. Daniele El Khoury, HR Director MEIA invited all the ladies in Dubai office for a team lunch at Intercontinental Dubai Marina Hotel, to celebrate and recognize women's contributions and dedication to the Company and society. Our people make ASSA ABLOY every day, and we ensure our colleagues feel empowered to achieve great things! 

The event was done simultaneously in our offices in Egypt and Turkey, where both teams joined to honour this occasion.

International Women's Day has occurred for well over a century with the first gathering held in 1911. Purple, green and white are the colours of International Women's Day. Purple signifies justice and dignity. Green symbolizes hope. White represents purity, albeit a controversial concept.
