BREEAM - doors

Credit is achieved by selecting construction products in three to five categories (interior paints and coatings, wood-based products, flooring materials, ceiling/wall/acoustic/thermal insulation materials, and/or interior adhesives/sealants) that meet emissions thresholds and standards related to formaldehyde, total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs), and type 1A and 1B carcinogens.

Security Doors from ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions are manufactured urea-formaldehyde free. Additionally, ASSA ABLOY SMARTec^™ security doors are crafted with Forest Stewardship Council^® (FSC^®) certified wood. At the request of customers, certain product lines can be custom ordered to meet these specifications.

Several of ASSA ABLOY Opening Solution doors have acoustic dampening or proofing properties that contribute to enhancing the acoustic performance of the building. We offer door solutions, including our Powershield Acoustic Doors, that are rated upwards of 45 decibels and are compliant with acoustic standards such as EN-ISO 140-3. Additional standards apply on a door-by-door basis.
