Aperio^® is a cost-effective solution for many access control applications. This product eliminates key management issues while providing authorization changes in real time. Communication is encrypted with audit trails and time zones recorded for viewing as needed. Battery-powered Aperio RFID-equipped cylinders, escutcheons, handles, and locks can be fitted as a new access control system or extend an existing installation by linking new doors to the same system wirelessly. This eliminates the need for staff to swap their key cards, nor for anyone to carry more than one credential. Aperio works seamlessly within almost every major access control system on the market, from over 100 different manufacturers. One control panel manages everything — Aperio and legacy locks.

CLIQ^® is a mechatronic locking system that combines high-end mechanical and electronic protection. A range of key-operated mechanical cylinders and padlocks maximize physical security and attack resistance. CLIQ technology then layers DES encrypted, user-friendly electronic security on top of physical security measures. Audit trail time and date stamps are tracked. This adds control and convenience without the need for wires; all CLIQ devices are wire-free. The power to operate the electronics comes from the battery inside every CLIQ key. 

Incedo^™ is a flexible and future-proofed system that scales and updates as needed, keeping facilities and their users up to date with the latest technological changes. With Incedo’s modular platform approach, system owners simply choose the security hardware (e.g. Aperio, PULSE), the credentials they need, and the appropriate management system option. Incedo’s system management options — Lite, Plus, and Cloud — scale from entry level up to cloud-based administration.

Code Handle^® provides convenient safety features that increase occupant security. Code Handle products remove the need for keys within the building; instead, the handle has buttons for security code entry. With a built-in digital PIN keypad, it upgrades security at any private interior door facing a public space. The sleek design allows users to enter without keys or unsightly push-button mechanical locks. Users simply swap the existing door handle for a Code Handle. Installation requires just two screws. The installers keep the existing cylinder or lock and simply change the handle. With the Master Code, administrators can issue up to nine different four-to-six digit PINs to authorised users, amending or cancelling PINs whenever necessary.

SMARTair^™ systems with battery-powered cylinders, escutcheons, security locks and readers are fast to fit and can protect almost any door or access point. The software can schedule access at specific times throughout the day to ensure that the appropriate personnel have access when needed. Openow^™ is the convenient mobile solution for SMARTair. Within this app, users store validated digital keys securely. Additionally, using the app reduces high traffic touch points.

Aperio, CLIQ, Incedo, Code Handle, and SMARTair are battery-powered products. Compared to traditional, hard-wired access control products, our wireless access control solutions utilize minimal grid energy and can improve a building’s energy performance or ENERGY STAR^® score. In addition, Incedo Business utilizes wireless hardware, such as Aperio or PULSE. The battery-powered access control solutions from Aperio use minimal energy and only wake-up and use energy when presenting a credential. They also require less energy during the installation phase as no cabling around the door is needed. These devices can be easily switched to other doors in case of movement. Energy harvesting solutions, such as the key-based ASSA ABLOY PULSE electronic locking system, generate the needed energy by inserting and turning the key.

Specify and incorporate construction products with EPDs into the building.

ASSA ABLOY aims to set long-term, science-based sustainability goals. Many of our access control products have EPDs, which are documents that provide material transparency information and denote the environmental impact across the product’s life cycle. All of our EPDs are third-party verified and are compliant with ISO 14025 and EN 15804 standards. ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions also has several industry wide EPDs.
