The first door closer with integrated escape route locking for hinge side and integrated electromechanical locking on the opposite hinge side.
For fire protection in buildings, door closers are safety-relevant and indispensable components. A special option for retrofitting an existing fire door is the security door closer with integrated escape door locking.
The security door closer is now also available for double-leaf door systems on the hinge side.
The escape door strike and latch bolt lock are integrated into the door closer inconspicuously.
The ASSA ABLOY hinge side security door closer is the first door closer with integrated escape route locking.
The mounting plate and slide rail have been extended by design. In addition to the door closer, the latch lock is also mounted on the mounting plate. The escape door strike is mounted in the guide rail as a counterpart. The door can be locked via the combination escape door strike/latch lock.
Areas of application:
Special case: Retrofitting on fire doors
The security door closer fulfils the requirement for retrofitting a door closer with slide rail according to EN 1154. If a fire door is approved for the use of door closers according to EN 1154 and pre-equipped with the corresponding drilling pattern, this is simply used for the security door closer: by means of adapter plates, existing fixing holes can be used when replacing the slide rail.
With the ASSA ABLOY security door closer for the non-hinge side, (façade) doors with access control can be easily retrofitted with an electric locking device. It is also a suitable locking device for lock doors.
The locking device is integrated in the extended slide rail and on the extended mounting plate of the ASSA ABLOY security door closer.
Areas of application:
The advantage is that there is no restriction of the clear passage height, as is the case when using electromagnets or other screw-on locks. And compared to these, it also needs less power.
Special case: Installation on the non-hinge side of fire and smoke protection doors
Installation on the non-hinge side of fire and smoke protection doors is only possible with the prior approval of the door manufacturer or, in individual cases, with the approval of the building authorities.
