HVLS Commercial Fans produce a massive, cylindrical column of air that flows to the floor and out in all directions, constantly circulating air in large spaces. The gentle breeze created equals a 4–7 degree reduction in perceived temperature, in accordance with the ASHRAE 55–2010 comfort standard, keeping employees cool and comfortable. The balanced air circulation reduces stagnant air, hot and cold spots and condensation, keeping food and products dry and cool and reducing spoilage.
These advantages come with reduced energy consumption. By having large fans working with HVAC to better regulate the temperature from floor to ceiling, a facility can raise the thermostat by 3–5 degrees, creating the potential for up to 4% energy savings per grade change. Furthermore, the integration of Kelley HVLS fans with iFAN® software enables centralized control of fan activity for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
