We are seeking a dynamic, customer-centric and results-driven Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team. You will have responsibility for our end-users together with our Business Development sales team.

 

This role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, business acumen, and sales expertise to drive growth in HID portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships by acting as a technical advisor to clients and prospects.

 

The ideal candidate has experience in the physical security industry, possesses strong technical and communications skills, working knowledge of HID’s PACS product portfolio, and a thorough understanding of technical product integration and navigating complex, corporate environments.You will be working from your home office as the role is remote.

The PACS business is highly visible and one of our most significant portfolios within HID Global. The PACS products include smart cards, mobile access and identifications, software, services and controllers for physical access control.

 

As our Pre Sales Consultant , End Users UK & I , you will support HID’s success by:

  • Serve as a technical expert and advisor during the sales process, providing product demonstrations, technical presentations, and consultation.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is integrated into product development.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, RFP responses, and other documentation required for sales processes.
  • Build trusting relationships with technology decision-makers and influencers. Gain a deep understanding of our customers’ business problems and provide solutions.
  • Maintain a strong technical command of the HID portfolio. An ability to learn new technical concepts by leveraging internal experts and external resources such as field experts and technical articles.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients to maximize the value of HID Global's products and services.
  • Represent HID Global at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our solutions and gather market intelligence.
  • You might also be responsible for selected channel accounts.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

 

Your Experience and Education include:

  • BEng or BSc Degree within a technology related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in sales engineering, solution engineering, technical sales, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in physical access control systems.
  • Proven & verifiable track record of successful technical sales leadership with end-users.
  • Demonstrated communication, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and complete short-term and/or long-term tasks and project assignments on time.
  • Professional appearance and presentation required.

 

Required Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of the components of a Physical Access Control Solution and how they talk to each other.
  • RFID and electronics.
  • Credentials Technologies such as HID Seos and NXP MIFARE DESFire.
  • Understanding of how software solutions talk to each other using APIs.
  • Structure and representation of digital information (bits, bytes, MSB/LSB, JSON, CSV etc.)
  • Networking (routers, switches, TCP/IP, MQTT, TLS etc.)
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
