Wohn Erfurt

A project in Erfurt centered on two central historic residential and commercial buildings. These buildings have apartments on the upper floors with offices, shops and restaurants on lower floors. They were previously secured with a mechanical master key system.

The goal was to equip building entrances with electronic devices to enable central control. The new locking system should have the flexibility to enable secure control of all access rights and locking hierarchies according to individual authorizations.

Due to the historic character of the buildings, all cylinders had to be installed flush, with no structural changes and with as little work as possible on the doors. Care also had to be taken to ensure that the historic appearance was not impaired and doors were not damaged in any way.

Solution

The owner opted for an eCLIQ programmable key access control system for the two mixed-use buildings. This system was selected for its easy operation and key programming. With eCLIQ, access authorizations can be assigned flexibly.

An additional benefit for these historic buildings was easy installation: eCLIQ devices do not need to be wired. The power supply is provided by a standard battery inside the eCLIQ reversible key. This means that eCLIQ cylinders do not protrude: Modern security technology can be integrated discreetly into the building. A wide variety of available eCLIQ cylinders ensures there is a unified solution for all kinds of applications including doors and furniture.

The entire eCLIQ access control system is administered with CLIQ^® Local Manager software. This user-friendly program is installed locally on a PC and is ideally suited to efficient building management.
