Písek Technological Park

Pisek Technological ParkPisek Technological Park

The Písek Technology Park is a science and technology centre built within the former Žižkov Barracks in the Czech Republic, South Bohemia.

Inaugurated in autumn 2013 after a total investment of CZK 450 million (Czech Crown), the Technology Park operates 24/7. It will be home to many companies in the technology sector, which is why access control must be totally reliable and security unassailable.

Low security solutions, such as mechanical keys, were not an option for such a large investment.

Technology Park Písek will be home to around 300 employees working for a number of small companies using the site, and the security must also be flexible and able to adapt quickly to regular personnel changes at the site.

Around 140 Aperio® E100 escutcheons have been installed at the site. Each is wirelessly connected to the electronic access control system from ABBAS.

Employees and co-workers at the Písek Technology Park open the doors using RFID technology, in this case with iCLASS® from HID Global compatible with smart cards.

The set-up was simple and wireless and can be easily extended as needs change within the site.

Aperio® online solutions allow facility managers at the site to perform security checks, access in real time and issue or revoke access rights immediately.
