Hotel TH Courmayeur

The TH Courmayeur, formerly Hotel des Alpes, is located right in the heart of the Aosta Valley, immersed in nature and at the same time close to fashionable Courmayeur. The property has recently been renovated respecting eco-sustainable features. It has 130 spacious rooms of different types and includes a restaurant, a wellness center and a swimming pool.

The renovation work completed in 2019, included the total demolition of the old structure and the reconstruction of new building with volumetric expansion of 40% in accordance with regional law. Today, the hotel is divided into 5 bodies intertwined with each other reminiscent of the trend of the Mont Blanc mountain range, which frames this structure.

ASSA ABLOY was chosen as a partner to identify a room access control solution in line with energy-saving requirements and the tight construction schedule prior to the opening. The operator also sought a smart platform with intuitive management for staff and convenient for guests.

ASSA ABLOY responded to these demands with the TESA Hotel solution. With battery-powered devices and the use of smart energy savers, TESA Hotel is a sustainable solution. The quick and easy installation was carried out for TH Courmayeur by the local ASSA ABLOY service center. In fact, ASSA ABLOY boasts a strong network of service centers capable of giving support both in the initial start-up phase (system configuration) and in subsequent maintenance operations.

TESA Hotel is a comprehensive access control platform ideal for small and medium-sized hospitality facilities.

The system consists of management software and a full range of wireless devices suitable for each door. The main device used on room doors is the handle plate. Matching wall readers and electronic cylinders are also installed to ensure security and monitoring capability in other areas such as elevators, spas and technical rooms reserved for employees.  

The TESA Hotel software interacts with the hotel's Property Management System to manage access rights to the various areas. TH Courmayeur has chosen the Update-on-card configuration, which captures access rights updates and the recording of events saved on the devices when the card passes at the front desk. The TESA Hotel configuration is scalable, so it will be possible in the future to upgrade to the online and Openow version, which allows real-time management and use of the smartphone app as an access credential, eliminating physical keys.
