X-ray door

Type, composition, thickness, method of installation and other characteristics of elements used for the construction of a room in which x-ray machine, accelerator or any other machine generating ionizing radiation shall be foreseen and specified in the design, taking into consideration the maximum energy and strength of radiation, orientation of the beam and the effective time of radiation generation.

Door type:

• sliding 
• pivot

Material:

• galvanised steel sheet (leaf 1mm, door jamb 2mm) plasticised in RAL colours 
• stainless steel sheet

Barrier:

• lead (panels or composed elements), thickness according to the type of radiation up to 60 mm

Fittings:

• special lock for x-ray door
• door jamb gasket – rubber (three-sided)
• ball bearing joint, only for the pivot door
• stainless steel handle
• leaf and floor joint according to the type of radiation

Installation:

• door jamb and wall joint lined with lead
