Our 2025 targets focus on our culture and safety

Our 2025 targets focus on our culture and safety

Our ambition and vision is to be an injury-free workplace. We believe that we can get there by maintaining our health and safety policies and processes, and to continue developing our safety culture.

We make the world a safer and more open place, and that means starting with our own people. Building and nurturing diverse teams is the right thing to do. It’s also the smart thing to do, especially for a global leader. We have already made progress in making our workplace more inclusive, but we also know there is more work to do.

Our targets for 2025 are:

  • –33% Injury rate (number of injuries per million hours worked)
  • –33% Injury lost day rate (number of lost days related to injuries per million hours worked)
  • 30% Gender diversity (% of females in management positions)

Group People Safety Human Rights Policy

At ASSA ABLOY, we provide solutions to help people feel safe and secure so that they can experience a more open world. Everyone in our organization should feel the same way.

The Group People, Safety and Human Rights Policy describes the ASSA ABLOY Board and Executive teams’ commitment to promoting safe, equal, and fair working conditions within the ASSA ABLOY Group.

We are building and nurturing more diverse teams

We want people from all kinds of backgrounds to work for ASSA ABLOY. So we set specific objectives to make sure we recruit widely and give people the right opportunities to succeed. We encourage and work towards a workplace where people of all races, ethnicities, and nationalities feel welcome at work as their authentic selves. We have already made significant progress in making our workplace more inclusive, but we also know there is more work to do.

Our Code of Conduct is our behavior blueprint

We expect all our people, from junior interns to our CEO, to follow it. It extends to contractors, and we also have a version especially for our suppliers. Our policies and principles are based on rigorous global standards, and we publish our code on our website to hold ourselves accountable to it.

Together we are making work safer every day

We have a wide-ranging health and safety policy that includes training, preventing injuries and looking out for ourselves and each other. We continuously hold workshops with our people to help them learn more about managing risks and taking both individual and collective responsibility for working safely.
