As buildings race to achieve net-zero targets by 2050, the need for green specifications is rising. Listen in as Robert Siegmund, Head of Commercial for Opening Solutions EMEIA, explains our capability in tackling CO2 emissions in buildings.

“We expect to see many benefits and continued acceleration of green building specification growth,” Robert says. “And we have the aim to become the market leader in green specification and really contribute to a sustainable future.”

To better meet customer demands, the division has created a green specification guide, which includes instructions and tools for delivering specifications on green projects that adhere to major environmental schemes such as BREAM, LEED, and DGNB. The upward trend also highlighted the growing importance of focusing on our Environmental Product Declarations (EDPs), which are used to source vetted products for lower-carbon projects.

“We continue to embrace the need for reducing our overall environmental impact,” he adds. “The EDPs are an important tool in meeting customer demand and fostering a sustainable future.”
