Our Opening Solutions teams are organized by region, and lead in the development of door openings and access solutions for homes, businesses and institutions. Our offering includes doors, door and window hardware, mechanical and smart locks, access control and service.
Entrance Systems, HID and Global Solutions are leaders in access solutions, identification products and entrance automation on the global market.
Our Europe, Middle East, India and Africa unit is the region leader within door openings and products for access solutions in homes, businesses and institutions. Sales are about 60% to businesses, 40% for homes. Our EMEIA team is made up of a large number of group companies that have strong local knowledge and brand recognition.
In the US and Canada around 80% of our sales are to businesses, organizations and institutions like schools and hospitals, and the rest is for homes. In Central and South America, we are more focused on the residential market, but are growing in business sales.
Many of the Asian countries we work in are emerging markets that are still establishing their security standards. New construction accounts for around 75% of sales. In Australia and New Zealand, which are more mature markets, most of our sales are for renovations and upgrades.
Opening Solutions APAC is divided into two business units: Opening Solutions Pacific and North East Asia, and Greater China and South East Asia.
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems provides solutions for efficient and safe flow of goods and people. Our products and services include a wide range of automated pedestrian, industrial and residential doors, loading dock equipment, perimeter fencing and service. You can find our sales companies in 35 countries and distributors in 90 countries.
HID is a worldwide leader in powering the trusted identities of people, places and things. Millions of people across businesses, healthcare, education, financial, government and state institutions use HID products and services, such as e-passports, payment verification, ID smart cards, biometric readers, and RFID tags.
Global Solutions lead the development of secure access solutions for hotels, cruise ships, student accommodations, construction sites, elderly care facilities, key management and critical infrastructure. Our systems and products are installed in millions of hotel rooms worldwide, and our core customers are in the institutional and hospitality sectors worldwide.
