Challenge:

ORCA Industriemontagen GmbH & Co. KG was founded in February 2016. Since then, the owner-managed company has been offering comprehensive services in the field of industrial assembly and relocation all over the world with a high level of technical expertise under the motto “Secure. Strong. Speedy”. From planning to transport and final installation, the ORCA team offers support with machine system assembly to the entire industry sector, with a focus on food and pharmaceuticals. In addition to new installations, the repertoire also includes relocation of used systems.

A single master key system solution had to be found to ensure the security of the internationally distributed construction sites, as well as all transports and containers at the sites. The challenge was therefore to offer the greatest possible flexibility and convenient handling essential for a mobile service company such as ORCA – regardless of location and time. Because the employees are only deployed for a limited period of time in a wide variety of locations around the world and require expensive special tools and equipment to carry out their work, which must also be moved from A to B just as securely.

Solution:

The solution was an electronic master key system with cloud-based management. The customer opted for an eCLIQ master key system from IKON with CLIQ® Connect as a digital supplement. The combination of wireless cylinders, an electronic key with battery, cloud-based management system with self-explanatory software and updating of access authorisations via app and smartphone is ideally suited to the extraordinary requirements of ORCA. Employees are given a single electronic eCLIQ key, which is then individually programmed with time-limited access authorisations as required. If the team in Germany has approved access authorisation to the corresponding cylinder in the cloud via software, the authorisation is transmitted to the respective key in the app via Bluetooth. As soon as the approval has been transmitted, the master key system can be operated with the electronic key. The installation of the master key system is at least equally as user-friendly and simple. Only a screwdriver is required to mount the wireless cylinders.

eCLIQ also impressed ORCA with its wide range of cylinder designs. In addition to door locks, the system also fulfils the requirements in the form of the particularly weather-resistant and break-in-proof eCLIQ padlocks on the company’s containers, for example.
