Characteristics:
Challenge:
With around 4,600 old and new apartments, Baugenossenschaft IDEAL eG in Berlin has a wide range of apartments in different sizes and locations. The housing stock reflects the construction periods of over 113 years.
In Berlin-Mariendorf, the building cooperative has built a new, barrier-free and sustainable apartment building with 49 two- to four-bedroom apartments. The building is built with a cellar throughout and has 51 underground car parks and 100 covered bicycle parking spaces. There are spaces at ground level on both sides of the entrances for leaving prams and walkers. On the ground floor, there is a day care centre, an office and a cooperative member meeting point for cultural events and leisure activities.
The building cooperative was looking for a user-friendly and sustainable locking solution for the residential building that meets the requirements for cohabitation in a multi-generational home.
Solution:
For several years now, +CLIQ components have been used in two other residential buildings of the building cooperative as an extension to mechanical master key systems. This allows the advantages of a digital locking solution to be used at the inputs and central rooms. Based on these good experiences, IDEAL therefore decided on an electronic eCLIQ locking system for the new building Mariendorf, where the apartment doors are also equipped with eCLIQ in addition to the entrances. This means that the advantages of a digital solution can now be used on all doors. Tenants lock their individual apartment, basement and house entrance doors, while administrators and external service providers only have access to main entrance doors and rooms.
A special advantage: By using the CLIQ® Local Manager software, all three master key systems – i.e. the new eCLIQ and the two existing +CLIQ systems – can now be managed on one platform in a simple and uncomplicated manner.
