The right solution for every requirement

Anyone who wants to consistently use the single-key principle with their master key system must ensure that all locks can be operated with it. ASSA ABLOY demonstrates how to do this with its eCLIQ series: Over 60 cylinder types leave virtually nothing to be desired.

One of the biggest advantages of an electronic master key system is the programmable keys and cylinders. This means that each individual user can be assigned access rights tailored to their needs on a single key. That may sound simple when you think of the numerous office and entrance doors.

But in practice, it quickly becomes clear that many other locks are encountered in everyday life. Desk drawers and filing cabinets, garage doors and waste containers, glass cabinets and wall safes – here you will normally find completely different designs and key sizes. Does this variety rule out the use of the single-key concept? The answer is: No, not with an eCLIQ locking system. This is because it offers more than 60 cylinder types, with a variably adjustable length in some cases. In principle, a suitable solution is therefore available for any application, which can then be operated with a single key.

Standard solutions for all door types

The most common solution are profile cylinders from the N5XX series, which are used in particular for doors in indoor and outdoor areas. The profile double cylinder (N531) can be locked on both sides; it is also available in a variant with a blank side (N551). As an alternative, there is also a version with knob cylinder on the inside (N534), optionally with anti-amok function. The profile half-cylinder (N532), which can only be locked from one side, is available for garages and storage chambers. The majority of versions are also available in the N48X series as so-called “Swiss round cylinders”, in the profile mainly used in Switzerland, the Benelux countries and occasionally in neighbouring German regions.

There are also various special variants for special applications. For example, the N531 special profile double cylinder, which is particularly suitable for steel doors and fittings. Or the N532 half-cylinder for installation in panels for lift doors. The NC40 pressure cylinder should also be mentioned here as a special cylinder for use in locking sleeves, ideal for use in glass sliding doors. If you need further versions, simply ask your project manager!

Interior equipment covered

Locking lever cylinders are also often required in all sizes. Smaller drilling dimensions are usually used in letterboxes, lockers and metal cabinets (NT01: 19 mm, NT02: 21 mm). Larger cylinders such as N923 (25 mm) or N320 (30 mm) can also be used for vending machines, control cabinets, cove flaps, wardrobes or security lockers, for example. They are each available in different versions.

Furniture cylinders and locks than can be used to lock office furniture and filing cabinets also have a wide range of applications.. Examples are the furniture cylinders N184 and N186, which are available in different versions and with different options, for example with special rose for easier installation. The NT05 bolt lock and the NT06 drawer cylinder, which are also available in a wide range of versions, are well suited to filing cabinets and drawers in desk and mobile containers. ASSA ABLOY recommends the furniture cylinder N924 for desk containers as well as for high-quality tool roll containers with central rod lock. Numerous other cylinder shapes are also available, such as for safes indoors (N549) or outdoors (N577).

Switch, lock, replace

Switching cylinders are required for electrically operated roller gates, lifting platforms or similar, which close or interrupt electric circuits. ASSA ABLOY offers a wide range of sizes and versions, from 19 mm (NT04), to variants with 30 mm and two different key positions (N511).

Cylinder padlocks are suitable for containers and bolts. Versions N316 and N318 differ primarily in their protection rating; the solid steel padlock N319 is particularly sturdy and can be supplied with or without shackle protection.
