With its unique mix of Bavarian cosiness and modern, large-scale catering, the Hofbräuhaus needed a modern locking system solution that combines high-performance access control, flexible administration and a discreet appearance. In order to be able to control access to core areas such as the bar, kitchen, warehouses and administration rooms around the clock, the management team of the world-famous site decided to install an eCLIQ master key system of the IKON brand. The new keys and cylinders needed to blend seamlessly into the historic building without compromising on functionality. The purely electronic eCLIQ locking system from the ASSA ABLOY IKON brand meets both criteria. Hardly distinguishable from conventional solutions on the outside, the change was carried out even in older doors without further adjustments or additional cable routing. As situations can always change in such a dynamic catering business, the extension capability of the master key system was also an important criteria. The wide range of more than 60 different cylinder types gives managers sufficient flexibility to meet future requirements.

Unlike the previous purely mechanical master key system, managing the 350 keys in circulation no longer causes sleepless nights for those responsible. Complex key boxes and heavy key rings are a thing of the past, as every key is unique with an integrated chip and can be programmed individually with eCLIQ. Temporary access rights, which only apply at night or during the day, are therefore no problem. The CLIQ^® Web Manager can also be used to change or block access authorisations to all security-relevant areas at any time and from any location.
