United at headquarters in Richterswil – Planet has moved
As of 1 September, 2022, the brand Planet will be officially based at the new company address in Richterswil. Planet has fully migrated its site to Untere Schwandenstrasse in Richterswil over the last twelve months in order to strengthen ASSA ABLOY’s site in Switzerland and pool synergies and expertise in the long term.
Dominique Osstyn, Managing Director at ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG, welcomes the new addition at the headquarters: "I am personally very pleased that Richterswil is now also the development and production site for the innovative and internationally renowned Planet drop-down seals and the Planet finger protection range. This move will enable us to benefit from the combined know-how and many years of expertise of our colleagues in all areas of the company." The strong integration of expertise will enable the expert in locking and security systems for doors to respond more effectively to complex customer requests and challenges in the future.
The shorter coordination channels and the physical proximity of the branches to each other facilitate and improve cooperation between the departments, which optimises the processes internally. As part of the renovation work in Richterswil, optimised workplace conditions were created, among other things, which also meet ASSA ABLOY’s important sustainability goals.
