Whether stand-alone, offline or online – k-entry is the right management software for Integra access solutions from ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG. Just like the modular and combinable mechanical, mechatronic or electronic components of the flexibly scalable KESO locking systems, k-entry can also be adapted and expanded to meet changing requirements at any time. With the new relay control upgrade, the swiss security expert is now also increasing comfort and flexibility in controlling and managing the flow of people in its building. For example, the additional license allows demand-orientated automatic additional effects during the elevator journey if the relevant authorization is granted.
Simply enter the elevator and once you have selected the floor in question, raise the roller shutters, switch on the lights and air conditioning: This is easy with the new relay control add-on module in the k-entry management software. For building operators, the expansion means significantly improved flexibility in facility management, especially when it comes to the targeted and demand-orientated management of user groups per floor. This makes access control easier to plan overall, while the additional functions of the innovative tool also enable a diverse range of applications within the respective infrastructures. The digital linking of the relay control with letterboxes, employee lockers or medical cabinets makes the software expansion particularly attractive for retirement homes, rehabilitation clinics, hospitals and public administrations, which rely on effective protection of sensitive security areas and on intelligent building management.
The Integra hardware is used to integrate the new software tool into an existing Integra access solution and to expand it without complex construction measures. The output signals in the Integra Door Controller online elevator control can then be linked to the desired additional functions of the k-entry software. The signal expansions are programmed in advance by the ASSA ABLOY specialist partner. The elevator manufacturer and/or electrician is responsible for linking the respective relays to the control element in the elevator directly on site in the building. This clearly regulates the responsibilities in the planning process and installing the upgrade involves the lowest possible amount of additional work for all parties involved.
The relay control can be used immediately after the few assembly steps and can be controlled online right away. The newly gained flexibility in the use of the new tool also includes convenient pre-programming of seasonal scenarios by the responsible electrician, such as precise times for switching on the light or ventilation systems in summer/winter seasons. These functions are updated online via the respective programming devices and transferred to the Integra reader in real time. The add-on module fits seamlessly into professional key management via the familiar k-entry user interface. Authorization assignment, filter and search functions as well as the individual design of reports, such as key receipts, are carried out in a clear and intuitive manner. The relay control is also automatically integrated into the software updates and back-up functions of the database.
The k-entry relay control license extension has been tested in various field studies and is available since May 2022.
The new GUI (Graphical User Interface) facelift will also be available as part of the release of the new k-entry software version. The graphic appearance of the management software has been revised so that all icons can be displayed in new and high-resolution quality. The high-resolution design fully supports the Windows 11 interface.
