Intelligent cameras for a secure home
The Yale brand from the manufacturer ASSA ABLOY is expanding its product range to include two new products: the All-in-One camera and the View Indoor IP camera. Both devices are intelligent security solutions with numerous functions available for use via an app. This makes it possible to maintain contact with your home even while on the move – visually and auditory via the two-way audio system. The cooperation with Alexa from Amazon also enables intuitive voice control.
Smart solutions for the home are becoming ever more popular. This also includes intelligent security and monitoring cameras. As one of the pioneers in smart home technologies, Yale has now launched two new intelligent cameras on the market. Both the All-in-One camera and the View Indoor IP camera work as a stand-alone solution, are quick and easy to install and are therefore an ideal entry into the world of the smart home.
Because the cameras are compatible with all products from the Yale Smart-Living range, they can also be integrated in an existing Yale security system. Beatrice Schulze, Head of Business Development Yale at ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik, sees the cameras as a useful addition to the intelligent security system: “The All-in-One camera and the View Indoor IP camera stand for our commitment to the development of innovative products, which make our homes more secure and improve our everyday life”.
View Indoor IP camera: Security and communication in one
The new View Indoor IP camera with Full HD 1080p enables a live view of the home wherever you are – easily via a tablet or smartphone and in high-resolution image quality. The camera is also equipped with motion detection on request. This means that you don’t have to be watching the camera image at all times to know if everything is OK at home. Instead, the camera reports unwanted visitors via an app. And with an optional SD card, the events of the motion detector can even be recorded. The integrated two-way audio function, on the other hand, enables you to speak with your family or pets at home. All these functions are controlled via the Yale View app, which is available for both iOS and for Android. The set-up and installation is quick and easy, the app itself guides the user through the entire process.
All-in-One camera: An intruder's nightmare
The new waterproof All-in-One camera is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. In combination with the Yale View app, this camera model also enables live views, real-time communication and motion detection from the home. The individual functions blend usefully with each other: If a parcel is delivered when the resident is away from home, for example, the motion detector sends a notification. The user can then see the delivery person through the camera and speak to them via the built-in audio system. Thanks to the night view function of up to 10 meters, it is possible to see who is at the door in the evening or when the nights draw in. The camera also acts as a deterrent for unwanted visitors. A powerful spotlight reacts to movement and an alarm sounds.
“Alexa, show me the living room!”
Both the View Indoor IP camera and the All-in-One camera are compatible with Alexa from Amazon. This means that both cameras can be operated via voice command and the live videos can be viewed on all image-compatible Amazon devices. All you have to do is press the “Activate skill” button. The account then connects with the Yale View app and the user can search for the relevant cameras via the detection function. All the user has to do then is give a simple voice command like “Alexa, show me the living room!”
