Meet Erik Kuronen

Erik is a System Analyst, formerly IT Graduate, at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA, currently based in Joensuu, Finland.

“I had the opportunity to learn from the “hawk’s nest” during my secondment in Wolverhampton, UK where I worked in the EMEIA IT team for three months. It was quite eye-opening to see the bigger picture from a division level and comparing it to working in the regional level.”

Erik Kuronen joined the Opening Solutions, EMEIA program in October 2018 with a bachelor of engineering in IT from Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

“ASSA ABLOY is a really diverse organization and everyone puts in a lot of effort. We have such a large organization with people from all around the world. Even though we have differences in culture and ways of working, we always seem to find the ways to collaborate and co-develop this organization,” says Erik.

“After finishing the program I have been working as a System Analyst and my current work is focused on various areas such as system management, software testing, software security, system security and data management.”

Looking to the future, Erik says: “My best case scenario would be working with future technologies, the Azure platform, the Microsoft 365 portfolio, automations, integrations and system security.”
