We are seeking a strategic and motivated Project Management leader to join the Baldwin team. Responsibilities include managing a team of project managers, driving new product introductions, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- (70%) Project Manager – New Product Introductions (NPI) and Sustaining Projects
- (30%) Leader of operations as single point of contact for the commercial side of the Baldwin business
- Model the Assa Abloy Values and Behaviors
- Mentor, coach and develop team members
- Lead a team that manages new product development and sustaining projects
- Develop and execute plans to drive continuous improvement with NPI and sustaining
- Assist in developing operations plans to support the brand strategic imperatives
- Execute and or manage operations plans to support the brand strategic imperatives
- Update AAAR leadership team on a regular basis on the status of the strategic operations plans
- Communicate brand and platform strategies to plant leadership
- Actively engage with plant performance/execution
- Understand and help design the networks that supply products to distribution points
- Understand and support service levels and inventory strategic planning
- Understand, support, and manage supplier production issues as needed
- Understand cost drivers and margin profiles for product families in support of productivity generation (including product cost, duties, transportation, labor, warranty, etc)
- Remain aware of CTQ elements of product lines and current quality trends and performance
- Help coordinate larger quality issues and disruptions to the supply network
Education and Experience Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field (Engineering or Operations).
- MBA or advanced degree desired. Certified Project Manager Certificate also desirable.
- 7 - 10 years of combined experience in relevant field(s): Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering.
- 5 – 7+ plus years’ experience with Project Management.
- A proven track record of direct management experience.
- A proven track record of developing and managing teams.
Required Skills
- Advanced working knowledge of project milestones methodology.
- Advanced Project management skills utilizing Microsoft Project or similar software.
- Proactive problem-solving identification: solving problems with the ability to assess risk/benefit and to act decisively on findings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Effective computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Windows applications, especially, Project, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to work and thrive in a global team-based environment.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Advanced Leadership and Team Building skill sets.
- Ability to effectively navigate high complexity projects.
- A general understanding of zinc die casting, stamping, forging, automated assembly, metal finishing are pluses.
Work Environment:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Pay Range: $123-374-$180,948.
This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
