SAP BASIS Architect
Position Summary:
The SAP Basis Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the SAP landscape for Americas Residential with a focus on global operations across Americas and APAC regions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and hands-on experience in managing complex SAP environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. The Architect will also be responsible for mentoring Basis administrators and collaborating with global IT and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design and Strategy:
- Develop and maintain the SAP system architecture for SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA, MDG, Solution Manager, PI/PO, and other SAP solutions.
- Provide strategic direction for SAP infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
- Define and document SAP system standards, best practices, and guidelines for on-premise and cloud environments.
- Global Landscape Management:
- Lead SAP installations, migrations, upgrades, and patching across global landscapes.
- Act as a trusted advisor for IT leadership regarding SAP infrastructure and emerging technologies.
- Guide and mentor SAP Basis administrators, ensuring skill development and best practices adoption.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Design and implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms for proactive system issue resolution.
- Optimize SAP HANA databases for enhanced performance and reliability.

- Lead SAP infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations, system consolidations, and greenfield implementations.
- Work closely with external vendors and consultants to deliver cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
- Ensure project deliverables meet business objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- SAP Basis or SAP Certified Technology Specialist certification is highly desirable.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a plus.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of SAP Basis experience, with at least 3 years in an architect or senior technical role.
- Expertise in SAP ECC on HANA, S/4HANA, Solution Manager, MDG, PI/PO, and integrations.
- Proven experience with SAP system upgrades, migrations, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Experience managing SAP landscapes in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Deep expertise in SAP Basis administration, HANA databases, and system architecture.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural environment with remote teams
