It's been 110 years since the first International Women's Day, and since then, the day has become an annual call to action for gender parity. 8th March is a day to celebrate the social, economic and political achievements of women, reflect on progress and demand gender equality. For over a hundred years, International Women's Day has put the spotlight onto issues affecting women all over the world. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.
As this powerful tradition and movement has continued for over a century, companies have found ways to celebrate International Women's Day.Carrying forward this tradition, we at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions, Middle East gathered virtually (due to the COVID restrictions) to celebrate the womanhood and cherish the contributions of women towards the company. All female staff and Management Team joined this virtual celebration which was followed by some fine speeches. The meeting was hosted by Daniele El Khoury, HR Director MEAI where she also announced a token of appreciation for all female staff for their achievements in order to celebrate their dedication and efforts.
