How eCLIQ makes everyday life in healthcare easier

The question whether eight different keys are needed or just one not only affects your nurses’ moods, it also makes a big difference when it comes to running your shift smoothly. Put yourself in the everyday life of your nursing staff with a digital locking system and an electronic eCLIQ key: This video shows you eight typical situations in a hospital that are made considerably easier by the eCLIQ system.

Entrance 5:35 a.m.

Since you are starting the early shift today, you open the main entrance with your eCLIQ key. The system is installed flush with the door leaf and cannot be visually distinguished from others. This door is always open to you – you always carry the energy with you. You can limit access to this door for all employees to particular times and quickly remove lost keys from the system to prevent misuse.

Update key 5:40 am

Your first point of contact is the wall programming device in front of the HR office, as the authorisations on your eCLIQ key are only valid for 12 hours and are updated daily. This ensures that only authorised persons with a current authorisation on their key have the necessary access rights. However, you are always welcome to use this opportunity to get information on the latest gossip at the clinic. 😉

Shift handover 6:00 am

Once you have changed clothes , you make your way to the shift handover. The ward room is always locked when unoccupied, so that neither patients nor uninvited guests have access. This access is of course also integrated into your eCLIQ locking system. The time-consuming and annoying search for the right key is a thing of the past.

Now you even have time to get an explanation of the background for the latest changes. This usually wasn’t possible in the past due to time constraints.

Medication dispensing 6:45 a.m.

You go to the hospital pharmacy to get ready for dispensing medication. It used to be that an additional safe was installed here with the various keys to the narcotics. Today you only need a single eCLIQ key and the hazardous substances are protected against theft and misuse. Openings can be traced in the event of a loss.

Laboratory 8:12 a.m.

You bring a blood sample to the laboratory for testing. It is of the utmost importance that only authorised personnel are granted access to avoid sample mix-ups and the associated risk to patients.

Break room 12:06 pm

It’s time for lunch. You and your employees meet for lunch in the break room, which is also secured with an eCLIQ cylinder. All doctors and nurses have the authority to lock and unlock this room, so you don't have to leave it to last. This leaves even more time to get some fresh air.

The nice patient 12:24

So you make a little detour to the closed ward to visit the patient you have grown fond of in the meantime. This is a particularly secure area that only certain employees with the appropriate authorisation are permitted to enter. You sit down at his bed and have a little chat, which you otherwise don’t have enough time for.

Bed transport – Lift 1:17pm

You transport a bedridden patient with a hospital bed to the ground floor for therapy. You use the lift to do so, of course. As a shift supervisor, you are authorised for bed transports on special trips and do not have to wait for the visitors to use the lift first. This is not only very pleasant, it also ensures that urgent deadlines can be met.

Dressing room 2:43 pm

Your shift is coming to an end. Like all employees, you have your own locker in the locker rooms. You can also open it with your eCLIQ key to take out your private clothing. Just a moment later, you step outside and feel the warm sunlight on your skin.

Done – now it’s finally time for friends and family!
