Intersec 2022 shows how exhibitions can reap lead generation benefits

After a long pause during Covid times in-person exhibitions with face-to-face meetings and product showcases are back.

At Intersec in Dubai last month, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA highlighted expertise in Connected Digital Security Solutions, a critical theme for 2022 and beyond. We simultaneously launched new offline cloud management functionality for the Incedo access control ecosystem.

“Incedo Business Cloud solves many pressing daily challenges of access management in 2022. Incedo’s integrated access control platform is at the heart of our push to help customers feel the real benefits of Connected Security,” explains Mauro Felice, SVP & Head of Opening Solutions MEIA.

With the launch of the new Incedo Business Cloud Offline at Intersec 2022, security managers now have more choice about how they work remotely, while maintaining control over all their buildings.

Lead generation gets a face-to-face boost

At Intersec, the ability to greet customers — and potential customers — face to face was a huge benefit.

Intersec attendees come from all over the world, from both private and government sectors. Their interests spread across 6 product categories:

  • Commercial security
  • Cybersecurity
  • Policing
  • Health and safety
  • Fire
  • Physical security

Our team’s meetings and product demonstrations generated several potential leads. The concrete value we gain from such exhibitions is clear: ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA will have a presence at many more important events through 2022.

Major interest in a new Incedo rollout

  • Supporting the Connected Digital Security theme, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions launched new features and functionality for the fast-evolving Incedo access ecosystem. With new Incedo Business Cloud Offline, online and offline control can be managed together within one flexible installation — and from anywhere in the world. This frees security managers to work flexibly or remotely.
  • During Intersec, ASSA ABLOY access control experts ran live demonstrations of Incedo Business Cloud. Customers could watch and ask questions about Incedo’s operation with Aperio wireless devices and, for the first time, with our PULSE self-powered, key-operated electronic locks.
  • “Offering this choice of hardware — different types of electronic lock to manage various openings and access points — is a major benefit of Incedo,” adds Mauro Felice.
  • “Adopters can combine wired doors with RFID readers, wireless Aperio devices and PULSE’s energy harvesting, key-operated locks — all within the same installation. They can issue traditional smartcards, fobs, badges, or deploy mobile keys, or use multiple credentials in parallel.”
  • “The flexibility of the Incedo system gained so much positive feedback from Intersec attendees.”
  • Intersec was also an opportunity to showcase eCLIQ, Yale Linus, Mul-T-Lock product range, Critical Infrastructure solutions and ASSA ABLOY’s specialist Building Information Modelling (BIM) and specification at the event.
